THE Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company has announced the change of the ZITF 2026 Official Opening Day from Friday 24 April 2026 to Thursday 23 April 2026.
The annual trade showcase is set to run from 20 to 25 April 2026 at the Zimbabwe Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES) in Bulawayo under the theme; “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries.”
In a statement ZITF Company chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Nicholas Ndebele said: “The ZITF Company hereby informs exhibitors, partners, sponsors, conference delegates, visitors and the wider public of a change in the date of the official opening of the 2026 edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF). The Official Opening Ceremony initially set for Friday, 24 April 2026 will now take place on Thursday, 23 April 2026.”
He said as such all activities originally arranged for Thursday will be shifted to Friday to ensure a smooth flow of the programme.
Dr Ndebele said an updated programme will also be circulated in due course through official ZITF communication channels to reflect this change.
“Any inconveniences caused by this change are sincerely regrated.”
Meanwhile, this is the second time the Official Opening Day is shifted from the traditional, scheduled day for the ceremony Friday, as in 2024 it was moved to Saturday due to unforeseen circumstances.
