CHIVI South councillor and Zimbabwe Amalgamated Housing Association director general Killer Zivhu stands to have his property attached over failure to comply with a court order issued against him over a US$ 2 750 debt. Magistrate Ms Tendai Rusinahama ordered a default judgement against Zivhu of Fourth Floor Shanda House situated at the corner of Park Street and Kwame Nkrumah Avenue to pay US$2783 inclusive of lawsuit costs to one Adelaide Marange who was seeking a warranty of execution against property.
Papers under case number 21194/13 indicate that Zivhu owed Marange $5 000 which he was supposed to use to purchase goods on her behalf in China. The goods were not delivered and Zivhu paid back only US$$2 250 and defaulted on the balance leading Marange to seek legal recourse at the Harare Civil Court.
In her application, Marange stated that she made several demands to get her money back from Zivhu after his return.
“He came back without the smart phones and laptops I ordered before demanding my money but only US$2750 was paid back by him in four tranches between 2012 and 2013,” read part of the papers.
