FULL contact karatekas return to competition this weekend when the Zimbabwe Karate Union host the Japanese Ambassador Cup at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex.

ZKU president Tawanda Mufundisi confirmed they will be hosting the one-day tournament this Saturday in conjunction with the Japanese Embassy.

Mufundisi said the tournament will feature participants as young as five-year-olds.

It is one of remaining two local events for ZKU and is expected to attract some of the top karatekas, including those that participated at the 1st Kyokushin Kenbukaikan World Championship two weeks ago.

ZKU are set to wrap-up the year with the Champion of Champions next month.
