ZKU season kicks off

session to be conducted by national technical director Paul Danisa and Eugene Moody, will feature both junior and senior karatekas.

“The squad training was supposed to be in the Midlands but we have moved it to Harare. We will be at Old Hararians and next week will go to Midlands.

“All people who have represented Zimbabwe and all those that wish to be part of the team are welcome.
“It’s an open national coaching session and there will be national coaches who will also use this as an opportunity to identify talented fighters,” said Rugwete.

Rugwete said the idea is to help the fighters improve the level of competition locally. Danisa said they will use today’s training session as part of their preparations for the Zone Six championships set for May in Namibia. “We will use this opportunity to assess fitness levels of our athletes as they start preparing for the Zone Six championships in Namibia later in the year.”
