ZNA race on tomorrow

TOP mare Equina and in-form Super Trouper meet again at Borrowdale Park over 1 800 metres in the Commander Zimbabwe National Army Charity Handicap tomorrow. Apprentice jockey Serino Moodley will ride Equina and Andrew Fortune will pilot Super Trouper in a race that has several runners.

This year’s edition of the ZNA Charity race carries a prize money of $8 000. Alyson Wright has come on board with three nominations as Amy Bronkhorst has two runners while Bridget Stidolph has two horses. Some of the locally based trainers that have thrown horses into the hat are Kirk Swanson and Seb D’Aquiano.

Gokhan Terzi has submitted three entries. From the list submitted by the trainers to MTC the highest rated nominee at this stage is Lucky Sam by Bridget Stidolp who is rated 97 followed by Equina and Super Trouper both rated 90.

Arrowfield by Alyson Wright anchors the ratings table after being rated 55. A total of 83 horses are now vying for all the available slots in all the events slated in for the day from 103.
