several issues pertaining to the running of the committee.
ZOC chief executive Staley Mutoya said the agenda of the meeting was to present reports on the activities that happened in the past year.
“This also where we present our audited accounts and the budget, the constitutional agenda of the general assembly is to report on activities that has been happening,” said Mutoya.
Mutoya said they will also conduct elections for the position of executive board member which fell vacant when Sekesai Nhokwara resigned last year due to other commitments.
“We will have an election to fill in one vacant to replace Sekesai Nhokwara who relocated to Uganda last year on business,” said Mutoya.
The vacancy will be open for contest by both men and women candidates as ZOC already has a minimum of three women as per their constitution.
A total of 28 national sports associations affiliated to ZOC are expected to attend the general assembly.
Other stakeholders expected to attend are the Sports Commissioner and the Ministry of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture.
“Affiliated national sports associations and the ZOC trustee are expected to attend. Other stakeholders expected are SRC and the ministry but they will attend as observers,” Mutoya said.
