The screening encompassed comprehensive assessments, including body mass index, prostate cancer markers, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels, all facilitated by Premier Service Medical Aid Society.
Comm-Gen Chihobvu who was accompanied by senior officers emphasised the importance of regular health checks for both officers and their families.
“We are here today to monitor our health conditions,” he said.

“As your leader, I will be the first to undergo screening, and I encourage every officer to prioritise their health.”
Dr Evidence Gaka, the ZPCS Chief Director of Health Services, stressed the need for proactive health management, particularly regarding non-communicable diseases like diabetes.

“Scheduling appointments with dietitians is crucial for understanding portion control and carbohydrate counting,” he advised. “Maintaining a food diary can provide valuable insights into variety and portion sizes.”
