ZPCS Officer Commanding Sports Gala underway at Khami Prison

IT’S a hive of activity at Khami Maximum Prison as the Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Services’ Officer Commanding Sports Gala is underway.

The two-day sports event ends tomorrow. Prison officers are competing in sports codes such as soccer, netball, volleyball, tug of war, athletics, tennis, golf and darts among others.

“These games promote healthy lifestyles among prison officers as well as fostering unity in an atmosphere where they enjoy themselves,” said Obert Ndlovu, the ZPCS provincial sports officer.

Today teams are going through the preliminary stages in their prospective sports codes.

Tomorrow the teams will play semi-finals and finals.
