A 38 -YEAR -OLD man sexually abused a 5-year-old boy throughout the night after luring him from his home with a pack of biscuits.
In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said on 7 July at around 9pm the accused person lured the child from his home by giving him a packet of biscuits. He took him to a secluded spot where he abused him.
“He sexually abused the child several times throughout the night. At around 5 am the accused person was seen by a witness carrying the child back to his parent’s home. She raised the alarm and the accused person put the child down and ran away. He was eventually caught and a citizen’s arrest was effected.”
“He was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment,” said the NPAZ.
