ZPCS officer delivers on the global stage

ZIMBABWE Prisons and Correction Service officer, Abel Prince Chikwanda renowned for his thirst for knowledge came out third at the prestigious Atupa Conference that was held in Kenya last Tuesday.

The Atupa conference aims to bring together academia, industry professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders to explore and discuss innovative approaches to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for sustainable development in Africa.

In a statement, the ZPCS said Chikwanda’s achievement is a testament to the ZPCS’s commitment to nurturing talent and pushing boundaries.

“Chikwanda’s outstanding performance is a shining example of the ZPCS’s dedication to officer development and international cooperation. His achievement not only brings pride to the organisation but also cements Zimbabwe’s position on the global correctional stage.

“Chikwanda’s journey to success is a beacon of inspiration for his peers and a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and innovative thinking. As the ZPCS continues to push the boundaries of correctional excellence, Chikwanda’s achievement will undoubtedly serve as a catalyst for future success,” reads the statement.

ZPCS further noted that Chikwanda’s achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a reflection of the organisation’s forward-thinking approach to correctional services.

“The organisation’s emphasis on officer development, innovation, and international cooperation has created a fertile ground for excellence to flourish.

“As Chikwanda returns home, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge, new ideas, and a renewed sense of purpose. His experience at the Atupa Conference will undoubtedly enrich ZPCS’s operations and contribute to the organization’s continued growth and success,” reads the statement.
