ZRP probes circulating video of minors

Police are investigating a video circulating on social media in which two pupils are being accused of committing unlawful entry and theft in Murambinda.

The two Form Three boys are seen standing next to a marked police vehicle where they are being questioned by officers and members of the public.


They are later ordered to jump into the police pick-up truck.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations are in progress.

He said appropriate action will be taken against the officers if they did not conduct their duties properly.

“We confirm receiving such a report and we are investigating the case. We would want to urge the public not to interfere when police officers are conducting their duties,” he said.

“If any of our police officers did not perform their duties properly or are being implicated in the circulation of the video, we will take action against them,” he said.
