ZRP Queens hit form

ZRP Queens found their touch at the right time to collect vital points away from home when they beat Zvishavane Pirates 1-0 at the weekend. Tafadzwa Tsunguro was the heroine for the Harare police team when she connected a cross from Rutendo Madongorere to beat goalkeeper Nyaradzo Chifamba.Coach Caleb Chikwamba hailed his charges.
“The match was tough and I would like to applaud my girls. I want to win the league as well and I hope we will continue with our current form,” he said Journalist Lee Mangena’s side, Street Set, are likely to face the music after failing to fulfil their fixture at home.

Blue Swallows had travelled all the way from Harare to Bulawayo, but Mangena failed to assemble a team amid complaints from the players of the treatment they have been receiving from the club.

The team is bottom of the table. Mufakose Queens had no mercy for Masvingo whom they walloped 6-0. Correctional Queens were also merciless against Borrow Street Jets as they scored seven goals. Mwenezana had a fruitful outing after beating Hearts Of Oak with Catherine Chimutanda and Memory Chinamaringa on target.

Meanwhile, seven teams have been admitted to the league and have to play catch up. Zimbabwe Women’s League has already welcomed Black Rhinos, ZRP Harare, Midlands State University, Auckland, Herentals and Weerams Queens.
