“The movie ‘Clandestine’ will expose the dark side of culture among Zimbabweans while also matching international standards.
“Clandestine” is both a Shona and English film that reveals the importance of knowing each other before two people exchange marriage vows.
“It also reveals the importance of the role of the so-called ‘vanatete’ and ‘vanasahwira’ who are culturally believed to be the ones who are supposed to give counselling and guidance to the youths inasfar as love, courtship and marriage are concerned,” he said.
The passionate movie maker said it also deals with issues of a father who keeps secrets from his family, marital problems and HIV and Aids.
“Anthony Tungani takes the role of sahwira with Freddy Mangava, Fortune Rego and Joyce Kangweva playing other roles,” he said.
The talented producer said he was also working on two short films “The Black Wedding” and “Such is Life”.
He said the “Black Wedding” was largely about the effects of witchcraft (kuromba), while “Such is Life” teaches on the role of sexual networks and the influence of alcohol on the spread of HIV/Aids.
Zuze, who is the director of a local drama “Sunningdale Casanova”, said he had started receiving overwhelming feedback from people who enjoy watching the drama.
“We are happy with the pleasing feedback we are receiving from people who enjoy watching our drama,” he said.
He has also produced another local drama “Long Back” starring prominent comedian-cum-musician Freddy Manjalima aka “Kapfupi”.
