of 10 dog handlers at the school of canine on Friday.
He said dog training was important as it helps with extra abilities in the apprehension of fleeing thieves and recovery of property.

“The Canine section is one of those sections in the force that has proven to be effective in the fight against crime. The cornerstone of this success is underpinned by the unparalleled dedication of the dog handlers.

“The section scored remarkable achievement in the eradication of crime particularly in tracking and sniffing out drug peddlers in areas such as Chiadzwa Diamond fields,” Snr Ass Com Majejo said.
He called on the handlers to exercise self-control in order to achieve desirable results in the execution of duties.

“Discipline and control are synonymous in dog training hence the handlers must be vigilant and alert as this translates to the overall performance of the dogs. I therefore urge you to go and put into practice the skills knowledge and attitude that were imparted to you by this school,” he said.
