10 finalists for Bulawayo Got Talent Season 1 finale announced

The stage is set for the inaugural Bulawayo Got Talent (BGT) Season 1 finale, with 10 finalists unveiled to battle it out for top honours in December at a venue yet to be announced.

The finalists are Anitah Dube, Sizalobuhle Mhlophe, Michael Markatin, Anele Nkundlandle, Kasi Mission, Pearl Sibanda, Young Hearts and Gracious Sithole, Captain weEntertainment and The Saint City.

The ultimate winner will walk away with a $500 cash prize, a trip to the resort city of Victoria Falls, a record label contract and a coveted BGT award.

The event seeks to offer a platform for individuals to showcase their talents across a wide spectrum of entertainment, including singing, dancing, acting, martial arts, instrumental performances, poetry and comedy.

The semi-finals were recently held at Amakhosi Theatre in the city, featuring 16 contestants. Entertainment during the semi-finals was provided by local artistes Tojey Blox, Syko Tek, Mawiza and Floppy X, adding excitement to the event.

The judging panel included Skyz Metro FM presenter Gabz Hotta Fire, musician and content creator Imran Pac and musician, YP Angels.
Imran Pac expressed satisfaction with the contestants’ growth and performances.

“Our contestants were well-prepared and gave their all during their performances. Three contestants, Anitah Dube, Sizalobuhle Mhlophe and Michael Markatin, received golden buzzers for their exceptional acts,” said Pac.
He said BGT is more than just a talent showcase.

“It’s a way to boost the self-esteem and confidence of the youth while steering them away from potential delinquency or criminal activities.

“By nurturing their talents, BGT aims to channel their energies into productive and positive pursuits.”
He thanked the community, parents and local councillors for their support and invited companies to partner with BGT to help uncover and nurture the city’s raw talent.
