adminHigh, Chengogwe High, Neruvanga High, Victor High, Nyamandi and Uchere High School are the other Schools that will be taking part in the one day long tournament. Provincial head in charge of handball in Masvingo, Jameson Shumbanhete, said everything is now place for the tournament.
“Everything is now in place and we are expecting an exciting tournament,” he said. “It’s the first time that we are hosting this kind of tournament and plans are underway to make it an annual event where we can also invite more schools from different provinces.
“We are looking forward to a competitive tournament and we are urging people from Masvingo Province to come and cheer their children in action.
“There’s going to be fun and winning teams will be rewarded for their efforts but we don’t have the actual figures yet,” added Shumbanhete.
The tournament will feature Under-15 and Under-20 boys and girls’ teams and is expected to start this morning.
Amon Madzvamuse, the president of the Zimbabwe Handball Federation, is expected to be the guest of honour at today’s tournament at Danhamombe High School in Chivi..
