BULAWAYO’S fashion scene is shaping up as the Bulawayo Board of Designers (BBD) held the Fusion Runway Fashion Show with 11 local designers showcasing their designs.
The fashion show was held at Horizon Pub and Grill on Saturday night.
One of the organisers of the fashion show, Annie Maliki, said the fashion show was aimed at displaying what local fashion designers have in store this winter.

“The fashion show was to promote local designers and showcase their designs. We had 11 designers and I must say they did well. People still do not know what a fashion designer is but such shows are there to help dispel such myths,” she said.

The sizable crowd present was shown ranges from African print to Avante Garde from the designers.
Fashion lovers were dazzled by trendy looks from rock chic, grunge, plain, vintage, military, sporty and safari.

The fashion show was also a way to market the BBD that was formed in January and since then it has been holding various fashion events.
The BBD wants to hold a Bulawayo Fashion week as one of their plans.
The direction that the BBD is taking is the right one and such events show that there is a bright future for Bulawayo Fashion.
