16-year-old girl remanded in custody

A 16 year-old girl who is accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend to death, has been remanded in custody to November 18.
She was not asked to plead when she appeared before Harare Magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

She has been taken for age estimation as she told the court that she does not have a birth certificate.

She was also advised to approach the High Court for bail application.

Circumstances are that on November 2 at around 9pm, she had a misunderstanding with the now deceased Amos Mhere, 35.

She then stabbed Amos with a kitchen knife on the left side of the chest, and he died on the spot
