REA Vaya’s 16-year-old left winger, Dineo Njaya who tops the Zifa Bulawayo Province Women’s Football League goal scoring charts has drawn praise from her coach Danny Ndlovu.

Ndlovu believes that the teenage sensation has a bright future ahead. The rising star has scored a massive 20 goals in just nine games this season.

She is the only one to have double figures this season with the closest competitors being Delight Gudhuza from Street Set and Panashe Mabwe from Rea Vaya both on nine goals apiece. Ndlovu has described Njaya as hard-working and a future national team player.

“I would say she is a vibrant and bubbly person. You can feel her absence when she’s not there, and one person who likes to joke around. Also she is a beloved figure which I think is because of the long connections.

“She plays wise, she’s always confident and ready to prove what she can do, her confidence is always outstanding and she even predicts how many goals she wants to score,” said Ndlovu.

He also said that she is focused, reliable and energetic. In one of her best feats this season, Njaya scored six goals in a single match against Queen Lozikeyi, where Rea Vaya scored a whopping 20 goals in the game.

She is a former Streetset and Bulawayo Galaxy player. She joined her present club last year during the mid-season transfer window.

“She also has scored against every team we played against and to top it up, against another friendly win against second placed Southern Region side Loxion Vipers where she scored a brace for that win,” said Ndlovu.

Top Goal scorers:
Dineo Njaya 20 (Rea Vaya), Delight Gudhuza 9 (Streetset), Panashe Mabwe 9 (Rea Vaya), Louis Moyo 8 (Streetset), Mellisa Ndlovu 7 (Rea Vaya).
