Bulawayo Volleyball Association (BVA) president Sithabisile Khumalo confirmed this yesterday.
“We are starting our league on Saturday although some of the teams that confirmed their participation are still yet to pay their affiliation fees,” said Khumalo.
ZRP Raiders, Highlanders, Unit Fairbridge, ZPC Spikers, MSU, The Great Churchill, Railstars, ZPC (Power Station), Gwanda Ramblers, Plumtree, Diamonds, ZPC (Bulawayo), Imbizo
Barracks, Cats, Khami Prison, NUST and Hillside Teachers’ College are among the teams expected to be in the league.
Meanwhile, the beginners’ coaching clinic that was supposed to start yesterday and run until tomorrow has been postponed to 26 March in a move aimed at involving more secondary school teachers who have been busy with athletics.
Raiders coach Vulindlela Moyo confirmed this development yesterday.
“We were supposed to have a beginners’ coaching clinic today but it has been postponed since Nash wants us to include more teachers so that schools could also benefit,” said Moyo.
