A total of 174 students on Friday graduated from the Army Ordinance and Transport Training School during the first graduation ceremony of 2026 held at Headquarters 1 Infantry Brigade, Khumalo Barracks in Bulawayo.

The ceremony brought together senior military officials, instructors and invited guests who witnessed the successful completion of various transport, driving and stores management programmes.
The guest of honour, Colonel Stanley Mashava, who is the Director of Transport in the army, presided over the event and commended the graduates for their commitment, discipline and hard work throughout the training period.
The graduates completed five courses namely the Senior Stores Management Course, Mechanical Transport Junior Non-Commissioned Members Administration Course, Basic Learner Drivers Course, Driving and Maintenance Instructors Course, and the Basic Stores Course.

During the parade, graduates showcased some of the practical skills acquired during training, including demonstrations involving driving simulators used before trainees transition to actual vehicles during lessons.
The Army Ordinance and Transport Training School, based at Khumalo Barracks, plays a critical role in equipping army personnel with transport management, vehicle maintenance and driving skills essential for military operations and logistics management.
