Musarurwa said Hurekure had confronted Kutadza, accusing him of calling his wife.
This angered Kutadza and he responded violently, leading to the tragic incident.
“On February 1, 2025, Alvina Chirowodza (a witness) saw Kutadza and Hurekure inside the gazebo. The accused person appeared to be talking to someone on the phone.
“The deceased intervened.
“This did not go down well with the accused person who drew nearer the deceased and started assaulting him.
“The deceased tried to stand up, the accused thought that the deceased wanted to attack him and he quickly broke the beer bottle which he was holding and struck the deceased twice on the neck.
