NINETEEN foreign nationals were on Thursday arrested in a suspected human trafficking.
The foreigners were found hiding in a bush near Marirangwe area.
They are believed to be some of the people, who were dropped by a bus, along the Masvingo Road, in Beatrice.
Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the arrest saying investigations have since begun.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police would like to confirm the arrest of 19 foreign nationals, who included minors and adults,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.
“Investigations have started to establish the reason for hiding in a bush and if they had valid travel documents,” he said.
The Beatrice community was left shocked when more than 15 teenagers and 30 adults were dumped near the Mahusekwa Road turn off on Wednesday.
A haulage truck, with foreign registration plates, dropped off the passengers.
A traditional healer witnessed the event and quickly informed the police.
The foreigners, believed to be Malawians, ran into the bush.
They were all arrested by police the following day.
