TWO men from Bulawayo have each been sentenced to four months in prison for stabbing their neighbour on his privates with a broken bottle following a dispute during a beer drink.

Phathisani Ncube (21) and Oliver Mkwakwa (22) from Nketa 7 suburb stabbed Mr Micky Gumbo (20) several times on his manhood and he sustained deep cuts.

The court heard that Mr Gumbo was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital while clutching to his manhood and was admitted for one week.

The duo pleaded not guilty to an assault charge before Western Commonage magistrate Ms Gladmore Mushove who however, convicted them due to overwhelming evidence.

“After considering evidence that has been brought before the court, you are both found guilty as charged. You are therefore sentenced to an effective four months in prison,” she said.

Prosecuting, Mr Keneth Shava said on August 18 this year, Ncube and Mkwakwa were drunk when they stabbed Mr Gumbo.

“Ncube and Mkwakwa picked up a broken bottle and stabbed Gumbo on his manhood. Mkwakwa went on to take a sickle intending to inflict further injuries on Gumbo,” he said.

Mr Shava said Mr Gumbo reported the matter to the police leading to the duo’s arrest.

Last year, a Gweru man who walked in on his hooker girlfriend having sex with her client, was rushed to hospital two hours later after she cut the foreskin off his manhood.

Herbert Jani, who has a child with Beauty Nhokwara (33) told a court he had a fight with her over bringing her clients home. He said he went to sleep after the argument and woke up in intense pain, with his manhood bleeding profusely.

Jani said at first, he thought Nhokwara had cut off his manhood.   @sharonbuwe
