Zimbabweans urged to protect flora, fauna

THE Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Management, Francis Nhema, has urged the Zimbabwean population to fully participate in the conservation and protection of flora and fauna.
He said this at the official opening of the 2011 Safari Operators Association general meeting at a local hotel on Friday.

“I did not wake up that morning planning to kill those children. My car did not hit anyone. I did not plan to be in the accident. I have never taken drugs. I did not drink alcohol that day,” Maarohanye said in evidence led by his attorney Ike Motloung.

Court orders release of suspected women rapists’ car

A HARARE magistrate yesterday ordered the release of a car allegedly used by the three women accused of sexually attacking male hitchhikers to collect semen, to ensure their safe movement.
Provincial magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini ordered the release of the Toyota Chaser, which was used by Rosemary Chakwizira and two sisters Sophie and Netsai Nhokwara together with their male accomplice, Thulani Ngwenya, in their alleged criminal escapades, saying their safety was at risk.
