Nust student accused of raping juvenile

A SECOND-year student at the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) has been arrested for allegedly raping a juvenile girl on several occasions and giving her money to buy her silence.
The student stays with his grandmother in Waterford. The  complainant’s age was not given but she was doing Form Three at a local school.

Girl (14) thwarts would-be rapist

A brave 14-year-old juvenile chased after a would-be rapist and although she could not catch him, managed to identify him by his clothes, a Bulawayo magistrate heard recently.
Mr Victor Mpofu heard this at the appearance of William Banda (34), of Village 2 Ensangu in Fort Rixon, who is facing a charge of indecent assault after he sneaked into the girl’s blankets and started removing her panties attempting to rape her.

Inyanga in court for rape

A well-known Masvingo traditional healer was last week arraigned before a magistrate for allegedly raping his 15-year-old “patient” who had been having nightmares and wanted his assistance.
Manicom Masaiti (42), of 3358 Munzviri Close, Rujeko, Masvingo, was not asked to plead to a charge of rape when he appeared before magistrate, Mr Waini Makamera.
He was remanded in custody to tomorrow.

School head to do community service
