NATIONAL bloodstock levels are low due to high demand for the precious commodity experienced during the festive season and the National Blood Services Zimbabwe (NBSZ) has begun replenishing national stock levels.
Suspected poacher shot dead

A suspected Zambian poacher was shot dead by Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority rangers in Sinamatela National Park on Tuesday as the authority intensifies war against poaching.
The shooting of the poacher comes at a time when the authority lost 23 rhinos last year to poachers — a decrease in rhino deaths after 52 were lost in 2010.

Johannesburg — A leaked e-mail has led the ANC Youth League to accuse its parent body of using disciplinary procedures to settle political scores, reports said yesterday.
Reports said this came after it was revealed at a disciplinary appeals committee this week that ANC “chief prosecutor” Uriel Abrahamse wrote an e-mail to his deputy, advocate Nomazotsho Memani, suggesting that the appeals should be heard before the ANC’s centenary celebrations.
