Why it’s important to get tested
Were we to conduct a random survey and ask who knows his/her HIV status among the general populace we would receive many a baffling response. Some would argue that since they are fit and healthy the need to know or undergo a test falls away. Another lot would use the bus stop gauge and say thus far no one has died from the circle of those they have been

A STAR witness in the ongoing inquest into the death of General Solomon Mujuru yesterday told the court that the General sometimes slept in his car and had contemplated doing so the day he died in an inferno that gutted his house.
Gen Mujuru’s maid, Ms Rosemary Short, said when the General left the farm on August 11, he said was going to Harare.

8 million litres ethanol lie idle
Sydney Kawadza Assistant News Editor
ZIMBABWE is sitting on eight million litres of ethanol amid reports that fuel companies are yet to regularise processes to enable them to start blending petrol.
Government last year introduced mandatory petrol blending at the ratio of 90 percent petrol to 10 percent ethanol. The introduction of the E10 was followed by regulations to legalise the process following the completion of the US$600 million Chisumbanje Ethanol Plant.
Petrol blending, expected to help Zimbabwe serve US$200 000 worth of petrol imports daily, was further enhanced when the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority issued licences for petrol blending.
