The decision by Zesa Holdings to stop disconnection of power to electricity consumers will benefit both the parastatal and electricity consumers. Under this new arrangement all electricity consumers will be connected to smart or pre-paid meters including those with outstanding bills. When defaulting consumers buy electricity, 20 percent of the money goes towards paying the outstanding bills.
