He said not even party leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai was qualified to dismiss him.
Mr Jinga still chairs council meetings despite the nomination of another councillor to replace him.
He was fired from the MDC-T in June for alleged corruption after being accused of playing a key role in awarding a US$2 million road rehabilitation tender without following procedures.
The party then ordered some of its councillors in the MDC-T dominated council to replace Mr Jinga as RDC chairman with Ward 20 councillor Mr Jemson Makovere.
But Mr Jinga maintains that the people and not the MDC-T elected him into Gutu RDC and so the party had no power to fire him.
“I received a letter from the MDC-T provincial executive informing me that I had been fired, but those who wish to see my back from the MDC-T and Gutu RDC are just dreaming,” he said.
“I am still in charge of Gutu RDCcouncil operations and no one has the power to fire me.”
MDC-T Masvingo provincial chairman Mr Wilstaf Sitemere maintained that Mr Jinga was no longer a member of the party.
“He was fired from the MDC-T and is no longer amember of our party,” he said.
“He may be in the Gutu RDC council, but as far as the MDC-T is concerned, our new RDC chairman for Gutu is Councillor Makovere.”
