Child killer to wait longer to know his fate

A man who in 2008 was sentenced to death for the murder of his two-and-a-half year-old daughter will have to wait a bit longer to know his fate after the Supreme Court yesterday reserved judgment in his automatic appeal.

Minister must formalise Zesa disconnection directive

The decision by Zesa Holdings to stop disconnection of power to electricity consumers will benefit both the parastatal and electricity consumers. Under this new arrangement all electricity consumers will be connected to smart or pre-paid meters including those with outstanding bills. When defaulting consumers buy electricity, 20 percent of the money goes towards paying the outstanding bills.
