LACK of funds is threatening the Government’s national restocking programme amid revelations that the Cold Storage Company to spearhead the programme is broke.
The company last year invited farmers to apply to be considered for the restocking programme meant to increase the national herd.
Addressing farmers at the 72nd Zimbabwe Farmers’ Union (ZFU) Annual Congress in Bulawayo on Thursday, CSC chief executive officer Mr Ngoni Chinogaramombe said the company had received more than 13 000 applications from prospective livestock farmers but had failed to process them.Council awaits road maintenance funds
