BCC to suspend water disconnections

THE Bulawayo City Council is likely to suspend water disconnections during the festive season with Mayor Councillor Thaba Moyo saying they will meet soon to deliberate on the matter.

In an interview, Clr Moyo told Chronicle that the local authority would love to see residents have an undisrupted festive season and spare defaulters by suspending water disconnections.

“We are going to discuss suspending water disconnections for the whole of the festive season in the next full council meeting. This is because we want residents to enjoy their Christmas without any disruptions,” said Clr Moyo.

He said the city’s water situation water was bad, but they wished to suspend water shedding as well.
