Over 70 killed in accidents

OVER 70 people have been killed so far, while 412 others have been injured, in 579 road accidents coun­trywide in what promises to be one of the bloodiest festive holidays in years.

During the same period last year, 32 people were killed, while 247 others were injured in 509 road accidents.
