Dance, modelling school for city

Bulawayo based dancer teacher Joane Shultz has established a school tutoring children in a number of arts disciplines.

The school, named Studio 13, has been running for the past three months and gives lessons in ballet, hip hop and modelling.

The school, located at Bradfield Shopping Centre, offers ballet lessons for children from the age of five to their teens while hip hop dance lessons are given to those aged 10 and above.

Mutodi castigated for rant

Mutodi posted his displeasure on his facebook wall, saying he was saddened by the latest developments, which saw fast rising singer, Jah Prayzah, real name, Mukudzei Mukombe’s three songs, Chirangano, Gochi-Gochi and  Mariah coming out at number one, two and six, respectively.

He alleged that the 2012 Coca Cola Top 50 left him with more questions than answers and was a fraud.

Bosso use Mamelodi game to prepare for Bob Super Cup

HIGHLANDERS FC will use next Wednesday’s international friendly match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Barbourfields Stadium to prepare for next month’s Bob Super Cup tournament against Dynamos.

The Bob Super Cup competition is part of the celebrations to mark President Robert Mugabe’s 89th birthday on 21 February.

This year’s final will be played over two legs with Barbourfields Stadium playing host to the first leg on 10 February with the final leg set for Rufaro Stadium a fortnight later on 24 February.

Warriors to regroup

Gwayi-Shangani Dam project kicks off

THE contractor in charge of the construction of Gwayi-Shangani Dam, China International Water and Electric, has moved on site and has started work on the project.

The project is a major component of the $1,2 billion National Matabeleland Zambezi Water Project (NMZWP), regarded as the permanent solution to Bulawayo’s perennial water shortages.

BCC major polluter of Umguza River — EMA

THE Bulawayo City Council is still the major entity polluting Umguza River, despite rehabilitating most of its broken down sewer system that was spewing raw sewage into the water.

Last year, the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) fined council about $10 000 for discharging raw sewage into the river.
