Divisions between civil servants’ unions are deepening as fresh differences have emerged over the appointment of negotiators to spearhead salary talks with the Government.
In a meeting held this week, the Apex Council led by Mr David Dzatsunga, chose nine substantive negotiators from different civil servants’ unions but the Public Service Association (PSA) rejected the list of negotiators, saying the Apex Council was not mandated to select negotiators in their absence.
Mr Dzatsunga yesterday said they had submitted the list of negotiators to the Government for endorsement.
He said from the selected individuals, four were from Zimbabwe Teachers Association (Zimta), four from PSA and one representing the rest of the other unions.
