Nominees will be accepted from July 7 to August 17.

They are open to individuals aged 18 and above with a track record of impactful work.

According to event organisers, TheListAwards were designed to celebrate unsung heroes and heroines, as well as distinguished citizens making impactful contributions in fields such as community development, business, arts, media, science, sports, and humanitarian efforts.

In a statement, the organisers stated:

“These A-list awards aim to raise the bar for recognition in Zimbabwe and Africa, comparable to the prestige of the Oscars in America.

“The disruptive approach ensures that winners do not just receive a trophy, they walk away with prize money and other benefits (subject to sponsorship), setting a new standard for awards that meaningfully support and celebrate the deserving women and men who work tirelessly to uplift our country and continent.

“The List Awards are more than an event; they represent a groundbreaking celebration of extraordinary Unsung Heroes whose contributions deserve to be elevated and highlighted.”

They also revealed that it was high time change-makers were honoured for the good work they are doing.

“It’s time to honour our unsung heroes — women, men, and youths who’ve committed over five years to uplifting communities across Zimbabwe, Southern and East Africa, including the diaspora.

“TheListAwards not only seek to celebrate these individuals and promote the spirit of Hunhu Ubuntu, they put Zimbabwe on the map in the region as three awards are also earmarked for Southern and East Africa.
