THE 27th edition of the Mine Entra has officially commenced at the Zimbabwe Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) in Bulawayo, drawing attention to the vital role of the mining sector in the nation’s economy.
In his opening remarks, ZITF Company Board Chairman Mr Busisa Moyo expressed gratitude to attendees and emphasised the importance of the mining sector in generating foreign currency.

“When we say foreign currency, we consider the mining sector,” he said, highlighting its critical economic contribution.
Moyo underscored the significance of innovation in transforming the industry, urging participants to use the event as a platform to build opportunities and foster partnerships. He said: “Our focus is on unlocking opportunities for miners,” and encouraged collaboration to enhance growth for both local and foreign companies.
This year’s Mine Entra features 255 exhibitors, surpassing last year’s participation and setting a new record for the event. Moyo invited attendees to explore the exhibition stands to discover the diverse offerings of the mining sector.

He also expressed appreciation to the event’s sponsor, NedBank Zimbabwe, and called for collective efforts to create a sustainable mining industry. “The future of Zimbabwe’s mining sector is bright,” he affirmed, urging stakeholders to work together to build a robust and sustainable sector.
