THREE Gweru brothers have been jailed a total of 90 years after they murdered their ‘brother-in-law’ while drinking beer last

year.

Zamani Ndlovu, Mehluli Ndlovu and Mpilwenzima Ndlovu from Gweru appeared before the High Court in Gweru facing

murder charges.

The trio were aged 45, 36 and 33 respectively at the time they committed the offence while their victim was 31 years old.

On June 4, 2023, the brothers and the victim were drinking beer at a local shop.

During the process, the victim called them his brothers’ in-law since one of them had a baby with his sister.

This did not go down well with the brothers who protested before assaulting him. They also struck him with a brick and stabbed

him with a knife in the thigh and he died.

The brothers were arrested by the police with the help of members of the public.
