3 die in Zimra bus accident

Beitbridge Bureau

Three Zimra employees are feared dead after a bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident along the Beitbridge-Harare highway yesterday after 6pm.

The bus was travelling from Beitbridge to Harare carrying staffers that were on relief duties at the border during the Easter and Independence holidays.

“It is reported that three people died, further verifications are underway,” said the source.

Zimra confirmed the incident last night but could not give further details.

“The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority wishes to confirm that a Zimra bus that was coming from Beitbridge with members of staff was involved in a road accident near Corona Shops along the Masvingo Road on Tuesday 19 April 2022 at around 6pm.

“More details will be provided in due course,” said Zimra.
