The family was travelling from South Africa in transit to Mozambique.
Acting provincial police spokesperson for Matabeleland South, Sergeant Nkosilathi Sibanda confirmed the accident. He said the driver, Ishmael Mahomed (61), and his son Adam Ishmael Mohamed (26) died on the spot.
Ishmael’s wife Madinavaley Mahomed (61) was taken to Musina Hospital in South Africa but died while being transferred to Johannesburg.
He said Fahimah Adam Ishmael, who was also travelling in the same vehicle, sustained serious injuries.
She was taken to Musina Hospital where she was treated and discha- rged.
