THIRTY Mutare Polytechnic students have been selected to attend a one-year training programme at Guangdong Polytechnic of Water Resources and Electric Engineering in China.
The students, studying Water Resources Management and Electrical Engineering, were sent off by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor Fanuel Tagwira, who encouraged the students to utilise the opportunity to acquire new skills that will contribute to the country’s development.
“This opportunity did not happen by chance. It is the direct result of Mutare Polytechnic’s active engagement on the international stage, particularly through its membership in the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA). This initiative is a strategic national investment.

You are future innovators who will contribute to building more resilient water systems and robust energy infrastructure right here at home. You are the future engine of our industrialisation,” said Prof Tagwira.
