A NOTORIOUS 32-year-old robber will spend 45 years behind bars after being convicted of robbery, rape and indecent assault.
Tinashe Marandure Pfeveni was initially sentenced to 55 years imprisonment at the Masvingo Magistrates’ Court.
But, 10 years were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
Pfeveni is facing two counts of robbery, three counts of rape and one count of indecent assault.
According to the State, on February 11, Pfeveni went to Majange in Masvingo, broke into the home of a 57-year-old woman and robbed her.
He raped the woman and her 31-year-old daughter.
A week later, Pfeveni robbed two sisters and raped one of them before disappearing.
He was arrested six days later.
