Mamvura was jointly charged with his friend Nickson Mutsakami (23) of the same suburb, who was acquitted after prosecutor Mr Felix Tavengwa failed to prove a case against him.
Ms Magwagwa sentenced him to eight months but suspended two months.
In sentencing him, Ms Mugwagwa noted that Mamvura sneaked into someone’s premises unlawfully in aggravating circumstances.
She said once inside, he chose to steal what he thought was good for him and his moral blameworthiness was very high.
On October 26, at 11.30pm, Mamvura gained entry after opening an unlocked door and sneaked into the house of Maxwell Tsoka (21) of Unit K, Chitungwiza and stole the man’s clothes.
He was apprehended on his way out with the stolen clothing and implicated Mutsakani who was later arrested.
