60 years in prison for three brothers convicted of brutal murder

THREE brothers from Mariwo Village in Mutare have been each been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the brutal murder of Liberty Kambaramu, who died after being stabbed and assaulted at Tsanza Business Centre in September 2023.

Stanley Kadzura (34), Petros Kadzura (37), and Tawanda Bayai Kadzura (33) were convicted of murder by the High Court of Zimbabwe in Mutare. The court heard that the three brothers acted together to kick, punch and stab Kambaramu.

The State presented evidence showing that Kambaramu suffered fatal stab wounds to the lower side of the chest and abdomen. He died as a result of these injuries.

The brothers’ sentence was handed down after the court considered the evidence and found them guilty of murder with intent.
