65 money changers nabbed

A total of 65 money changers (osphatheleni) were arrested after they were found with point of sale machines.
According to a statement released today by the National prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe the 65 were brought before the Harare magistrate’s court.
“The sixty five were arrested for failure to comply with the section 5(i) (a) (ii) of the Exchange Control Act chapter (22:05).
“The accused persons were found in possession of point of sale machines as well as numeral credit and debit card.
“The accused persons appeared before the magistrate’s court and were remanded in custody to the 22nd of April 2024 to post for bail.”
