DYNAMOS’ central defender Partson Jaure says he has accepted his seven-match ban and will not be appealing against the decision but instead will use his absence from the game to do some soul-searching.The DeMbare and national team player saw red in the 30th minute, together with Highlanders’ Njabulo Ncube during the two rivals’ October Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Barbourfields Stadium.

In a fit of rage and moment of madness, Jaure viciously charged towards the match day referee Thabani Bamala but had to be restrained by his teammates. “It’s painful not to be playing but I have accepted the decision, it is part of football,” said Jaure after the Warriors’ 2-1 win over Mozambique in an international friendly at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

The player was a second half introduction for Bantu Rovers’ Nqobizitha Masuku who was the anchorman and had a decent debut match for the national team. Jaure was played as the anchorman instead of his usual centreback position and played well in that department. He said he would move on and continue training with the rest of his teammates at Dynamos so as to add value to the team when he comes back.

“I will not sit back on my laurels simply because I have been suspended. I will continue training so that I keep fit. However, I really regret my actions and no player should ever do that,” said Jaure. Days after his Barbourfields Stadium near kickboxing stunt, Jaure apologised for his actions through a letter to Zifa.

“I write this letter with a great deal of remorse over my act of misconduct against referee Thabani Bamala during a league match between Highlanders and Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium on October 27, 2013 in which he was the centre referee.

“In the heat of the moment and given the pressure that I was under to try and help Dynamos to win the match, I overreacted to both the altercation I had with Njabulo Ncube of Highlanders and the match referee Bamala.

“My actions were really uncalled for and unbecoming of a Premier Soccer League player and of a player who is a member of the Zimbabwe senior national team. I fully understand that such actions bring the name of football, Zifa and the PSL into disrepute,” wrote the player. He will now miss Dynamos’ opening seven matches under the jurisdiction of the Premier Soccer League next season.
