70-year-old caught raping juvenile

A 70-year-old man from Chief Nyashanu area in Buhera was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was caught raping a juvenile.

Aaron Njuko appeared before the Rusape Magistrates’ Court facing rape charges.

On June 26, 2024, Njuko saw the seven-year-old complainant herding cattle and called her.

He dragged her to a secluded place and raped her.

The complainant’s sister who was looking for her caught Njuko in the act.

A police report was made, leading to Njuko’s arrest.
