Commissioners from five independent Commissions were sworn in by President Mnangagwa at State House today, signalling the commencement of their work following their appointments last week.
The Commissioners will be working under the Zimbabwe Land Commission, Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission, Zimbabwe Gender Commission, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission and the Zimbabwe Media Commission.

Former legislator, Mr Anele Ndebele, took the oath of office to assume the chairmanship of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission, while Dr Leslie Ncube took up the reins at the Zimbabwe Gender Commission.
Both of them pledged to work hard to steer their Commissions so that they serve the aspirations of the people of Zimbabwe.

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Zhemu Soda also attended the event and said they expect the ZMC Commissioners to discharge their mandate professionally and carry out research on how to improve the media landscape.
