EVERY Zimbabwean has at one point tasted this vintage dish since beef and veggies are a staple relish in most local homes. Most families have a garden in the backyard that supplies them with leafy greens and other vegetables needed in a recipe. Here is one simple way of preparing a Haifiridzi dish.
Requirements
A pot;
One kg beef, cut into pieces;
Cooking oil;
Two tomatoes;
One small onion;
Robot pepper;
Salt to taste;
A bunch of chomolia

Directions
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Put the beef in the pot and fry until golden brown, add water and boil until the beef has been thoroughly cooked.
- Add the onion and fry until translucent, then add robot pepper and fry for a minute.
- Place tomatoes and leave them without stirring for three minutes and then mix.
- Stir in the chomolia and cook until the veggies are done. Serve with sadza. — Bigbite
